Summer in Tokyo is always the same—the days are sunny and the evenings balmy. But this summer will be different for former school teacher Hatsumi (Aki Asakura).

The quaint soba shop Hatsumi works at is closing down and an old student, the kooky and energetic Kaede (Yuriko Kawasaki), suddenly shows up in her life. For the first time in years, Hatsumi finds the possibility of romance in Totaro (Takahiro Miura), a craftsman working in the same neighbourhood.

One thing leads to another in this slice of life drama and director Ryutaro Nakagawa ensures that he captures every moment of it. Director Nakagawa elegantly captures the minutiae of daily life in this gentle slice-of-life drama.
