Exorcism, necromancy, and bonds to the past
Haunted by ghostly visions since childhood, timid Mikado’s world starts making sense when he’s recruited by dashing supernatural investigator Hiyakawa. Bonding their sixth senses, the duo look into a series of grisly murders, puzzling detective Hanzawa.
As the ghost-whispering pair unearth clues and exorcise cursed ghosts, one name keeps coming up in Mikado’s visions: the elusive Erika Hiura. With Hanzawa’s seasoned street-cop scepticism at their side, she’s already in their sights.
This occult mystery unleashes darkness, both human and otherworldly. Jun Shison (Teiichi: Battle of Supreme High, JFF 2017) and Masaki Okada’s (The Many Faces of Itо̄) screen chemistry is spellbinding, while Yurina Hirate (Hibiki; former Sakurazaka46 idol) brings a chilling energy as a teen with toxic presence. The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window is directed by Yukihiro Morigaki (Goodbye Grandpa!) and is an adaptation of Tomoko Yamashita’s yaoi manga of the same name.
